The central part of the system is the repository of persons (members) and providers. The repository contains a comprehensive Electronic Health Record for each patient. The system provides special portals for use by both members and providers to access this information. The portal security ensures that the patient only sees the information on self and those members that associated in defined relationship. Similarly, the provider portal allows the provider access only to members that have defined relationship with the provider.
Personal portal allows direct access of a person to the health and other information. The information is presented in a series of easy to ready dashboards - Health, Treatment Plans, Wellness, etc. In addition to the comprehensive EHR, the portal supports secure messaging facility and ability to add or remove providers from a list of qualified providers.
Provider portal is designed for an easy access by provider to all members / persons that are associated with the provider. The system allows multiple providers to be associated with a member and the member to provider relationship defines whether the provider can update the medical record. For temporary relationships, the effective date range is provided for each member - provider relationship.
The security of the system that contains patient health information (PHI) is paramount. The system allows members to enroll using user id and password with the user interface delivered via SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Additionally, the system supports registration process that requires administrator approval to activate the access.
